Louisiana Kiss

The sullen sun finds it’s setting behind the darkening verdant leaves.
Tree’s filter summer simmering rain to amount of moisture.
Drenched in moist sky kisses, hands held sweating climb
To the peeking cliff bridge’s sigh. Sigh for the waning light
Reflecting fast waters below. Time in setting, slows.

Pulses pulse hard hot blood in depth of breath.
Sweetening sweeps of sly shy eyes sing
To the wanting, to the calling of couple’s center.
Coupling forms fit as if broken piece is mended like
A mighty quantity of gravity holds them together

Syrupy speeches are said, yet no words whispered.
The urging in the eyes and electric in wind weave the
Words, better than would be spoken, completely open
The world, wind, and weather dissolve into ether
Everything is nothing, but this happening.

Paired hearts heave heavy, beating time to dilate.
Mulling in eyes ask, pulling essence and faces near
For momentary peck of soul’s spark.
Lightening smashing thru and thru throw
Lovers in to the airy places between places

Kiss cracks the slender seal holding passion’s bay
With the bruising and spilling of an ill wielded wine key.
Staining the lover’s lips and flesh blush.
Breaths are gasps and hushing smacks fevered
Hands madly caressing.

Generating their own gravity glow fifty feet
Over the orb of the sordid world.
Untouchable heights to the trudging depth this
Bound they become immune.
Trancing into transmutations of desire.

The desire spent tingling to tired.
Retiring moody moon falls into blankets of sliver
Gilded cotton amethyst. Cupid the antagonist
Seeded his poison addiction deep
To forever seek this tender drug again
And again.

Eli, Eli, Lema Sabachthani

O to grace how great a debtor
daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love

I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
That we'd just met, she's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see we've met

Every time I see you, well the rays of the sun are all
Streaming through the waves in your hair
And every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes
Like a spotlight

Life is good I can't complain
I mean I could but no one's listening
Your image overwhelms my brain
And it feels good, good, good

We got some thin we both know it,
We dont talk too much about it
Aint no real big secret, all the same,
Somehow we get around it

Let me tell you the story about the call that changed my destiny
Me and my boys went out, just to end up in misery
I was about to go home and there she was standing in front of me
She said "hi,
I got a little place nearby,
wanna go?"

It's strange to think the songs we used to sing
The smiles, the flowers, everything: is gone
Yesterday I found out about you
Even now just looking at you: feels wrong
You say that you'd take it all back, given one chance
It was a moment of weakness and you said yes...

and there are voices
that want to be heard
so much to mention
but you can't find the words
the scent of magic
the beauty that's been
when love was wilder than the wind

I can't stand it, I know you planned it
I'm gonna set it straight, this Watergate
I can't stand rocking when I'm in here
'Cause your crystal ball ain't so crystal clear

The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it

I'm a street walking cheetah
with a heart full of napalm
I'm a runaway son of the nuclear A-bomb
I am a world's forgotten boy
The one who searches and destroys

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall

I make mistakes
Just like everybody else
But instead I'm letting go of it
I can't forgive myself

My reflection, dirty mirror
There's no connection to myself
I'm your lover, I'm your zero
I'm in the face of your dreams of glass

I rambled with the worst of them
Fell in love with a Harlequin
Saw the darkest hearts of men
And I saw myself starin' back again
And I saw myself starin' back again

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest

Lord Morphine

Good morning, it’s morning
Sigh, it’s every day.
Necessity wakes me
Nature annoys, demands
Bye, warm womb of blankets
I am birthed to the day

With bellow large lion yawns,
Ethereal Astral haze
Glaze the mind’s memory
Making that first right step
Surprise. Pain’s hurricane
Rips mental mist away.

Making the right foot fall
A torrent of angry stabs
And burnings  of hellish
Fire. Tendons and muscles
Fail. Fall cushioned by sleep’s
Smell on plush pillow shells.

An instinctive hand grabs
The amber clear bottle
Small dark purple pill chokes
Dryly down in two sore
Swallows. Hollow shadows
Whistles in wide waiting.

Wide waiting for the Duller
The duller of pain and life
Relief comes, sharp edge soothes
Tense light breaths become deep
Dense sighs. Fire and stabs are
Now watered and buffered.

All hail, the arrival
The unquestioned one king
His whims now owns the day
All hail, Lord Morphine.

A sheep parable

Once there was a lamb happy and gleeful. The lamb as a sheep has tendency to wonder and he did. Well, the lamb found himself lost and in a dark wood. He was fearful, because he heard stories of wolves and how they like to eat sheep. He cried out and cried out for his Sheppard, who would surely miss the lamb. The lamb’s cries attracted the thing he feared the worse, a mangy hungry pack of wolves. The lamb cried again for his Sheppard but no Sheppard. He cried to magical fairy people, but there were no magical fairy people. Alone and circled by wolves, the lamb realized that it had horns. Determined not to go down without a fight, the lamb fought. He was severely outnumbered and not combat ready, but he fought, with the ferocity of a wolf. The lamb won. The price for this victory was heavy. The lamb was wound and limped his way back. The Sheppard greeted him and saw his wounds. The Sheppard said I was with you all the time and look at this poem about some footsteps in the sand.  The lamb said, “I look and I called but there was no Sheppard. I called when there was only the dark to fear and I called when I faced the wolves. Actually, my cries for you, only called the wolves to me. In the end, I limped out of there, I faced the wolves, and I found my way back. You were not there and now I am unwanted because my fur is mangled by the wolves, you failed to protect me from.” Then the sheep went out of the herd and lived in the wood. He became a strange creature who eats both wolves and sheep.

Gaffle of G's with a splash of S

Did he grab the gimlet from the gator’s mouth? Laughing at gimble metaphor, he gleefully giggled. What is this gaggle? With gimlet and garrote in hand, he intended giving good game and good game is worth the giving.  Is the gimlet that goes splishity splash or the gimlet that gritties the grooves? What gimlet goes good with garrotes?
